A late February visit to Dublin was a Christmas treat for my boyfriend Michael and myself. We were keen to explore the vibrant city again after first making a trip there together two years ago. We made our journey south by train from Belfast, and arrived at the city early Thursday afternoon.
Many photos were taken during our 3 day stay, here’s just a few.
With entertainment around every street corner, Dublin made for a great location to fill up my SD card.
What are these photos about?
After hours walking through the busy streets, we stopped at the city centre park, St.Stephen’s Green, a place full of fond memories for the both of us.
After walking around the city for hours, we felt like we knew the place like the back of our hands. Often we took the opportunity to pause and try out some charming cafes we found hidden within side streets.
As we strolled through Temple Bar, I noticed an abundance of colour, unusual characters and creative street artwork.
Waiting outside the Storehouse were several horse and carriages, providing pretty subjects to meet and photograph.
After a lovely meal at Faat Baat on Dawson Street, we dandered towards the centre of nightlife in Dublin, Temple Bar. This part of the capital has so much character, with something going on everywhere you turn.
Perhaps my favourite shots I’d taken from the trip, are these two images. One showing tourists as they roam around the well-known Temple Bar, the other showing the other side of life in the city.
